It has been a long time in the pipeline but we are excited to finally announce the launch of a smarter DealFeeder API.

DealFeeder API/XML Rank

All of the Jack Media deal widgets and banners have been using the deal sorting algorithm for the last few months and we have now implemented this algorithm into the DealFeeder API. You will now be able to use the new Rank field in the API to order your deals from the top earners downwards.

DealFeeder Algorithm - Top Earning Deals

The DealFeeder sorting algorithm has taken months to perfect and is calculated based on the following factor: campaign payout, campaign earnings history, deal price, deal clicks, end time and number of deals purchased.

The top performing deal will receive a rank of 1 in the deal XML, 2 is for the second top earner etc.

Opportunities for DealFeeder API Publishers

The Rank Field in the XML will allow publishers to rank deals on their websites in order of most profitable to least profitable. It can also be used for daily email blasts to get the most profitable deal in front of the right user. For example if there is a user who subscribed to beauty deals, the rank in the API will allow you to send them the beauty deals that will most likely convert and earn you more money.
